Camiguin is an island province in the Philippines located in the Bohol Sea, about 10 kilometres off the northern coast of Mindanao. Its capital is Mambajao. Aptly called as an “Island Born of Fire,” this island has seven volcanoes, with two still considered as active. With its scenic natural beauty, many tourists flock to this island to see what Camiguin is all about.

CLIMATE
The climate in this province is a mild climate with average temperatures 26-28°C. January is the coldest month with temperatures going down to 24°C. March and April are the hottest months with up to 33°C. Rainiest months are December and January and sometimes February.
Camiguin is largely spared from typhoons that continually plague the northern part of the Philippines during the wet season. With mostly great year-round weather, probably the best time to visit Camiguin, like any Camiguin local would tell, you is during their yearly Lanzones Festival usually around the third week of October.
The most appropriate clothing in this province is casual light clothing: shorts, t-shirt, sandals. Light jacket and pants at night, at higher elevations, and boating.
