Miscellaneous
- You can NOT enter the terminal without a valid plane ticket.
- If you do not arrive at least 1 hour BEFORE your flight, you may not be allowed to enter the terminal.
- It is possible that you could be kept waiting outside a terminal for a delayed plane. Outside but under cover that is. Airport officials sometimes do not allow anyone in the terminal until 2 hours before departure.
- Although NAIA Terminal 1 is often referred to as the “International Terminal” … BOTH NAIA Terminals 1 and 2 have many international flights each day. If you have an international flight, be certain to know which terminal you’re departing from.
Advice
- Always check your reservation to determine which terminal your flight is departing from.
- You should consider dressing as light as possible as they may make you remove any belts, shoes, hats and pass them through the x-ray machine.
- Beware of scams and thieves. Keep your bags and valuables close to you at all times while traveling through the airport, on the plane, and in the transport from the airport to your destination.
- Don’t wait until the last minute to go to the airport. It can take time to catch a taxi (30+ minutes). There are often long lines to get into this airport, at the check-in counters, security, and customs. Expect the worst and arrive several hours BEFORE your departure time to avoid missing your flight.
- Always have at least 1,000 pesos handy to pay the terminal fee should you have to. Not all airports accept credit cards or the credit card machines are often not working.
