Quirino is a landlocked province in the Philippines located in the Cagayan Valley Region in Luzon. Its capital is Cabarroguis. Quirino, dubbed as the “Forest Heartland of Cagayan Valley”, was created in 1971 and named after former President Elpidio Quirino, the 6th President of the Philippines. The province is known for its rugged topography, which makes it a beautiful paradise for outdoor-loving travelers.

CLIMATE
The climate in this province has a mean annual temperature of 33.6 °C (92.5 °F). May is generally the warmest month and the wettest months are March to August, with the rest of the year being neither too dry nor too wet. Heavy, sustained rainfall occurs from September to November.
According to tourism officials, the best time to visit is during the summer months. However, some activities, like caving, river rafting and trekking to waterfalls can be enjoyed all year around, even during the rainy season. Quirino’s main festival is the Panagdadapun Festival held every September 7-10.
The most appropriate clothing for this province is casual light clothing: shorts, t-shirt, sandals. Light jacket and pants at night, at higher elevations, and boating.
