Burnham Park

The heart of the city, Burnham Park is one of the most popular attractions in Baguio.  While tourists flock here to enjoy a scenic swan boat ride on Burnham Lake, there are other activities to do as well.  Picnic by the lake, biking, horseback riding, go karting, and paddle boating are other exciting activities to enjoy.  The park also has a skating rink, children’s playground, orchidarium, and numerous gardens as well as restaurants and cafes.

2 | See the Views from Mines View Park

Mines View Park

Located about five kilometers from the heart of the city, Mines Views Park offers lovely views of the Cordillera mountain ranges and the mining town of Itogon, an abandoned copper and gold mine.  Mines View Park is also where you can have photo ops with a St. Bernard dog, a popular tourist attraction in Baguio.  You can also pose with a horse with pink mane and tail as well as don full Igorot costume for more photo taking sessions.

3 | Explore Wright Park

Wright Park

Under the order of Governor Luke Wright, Wright Park was originally developed as a recreational area for American soldiers and civilians during the American colonial era.  Still operational today, it remains one of the popular attractions in Baguio City.  A favorite spot for horseback riding, visitors can also enjoy other activities such as hiking the trails, admiring the Pool of Pines, having picnics, and embarking on a food trip at the various food stalls in the area.

4 | Take Photos of the Mansion

The Mansion

Just across Wright Park’s Pool of Pines stands The Mansion, also known as the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines.  The Mansion features a grand Spanish Colonial Revival main building, an elaborately designed ironwork gate, and an expansive lawn.  The museum inside the compound is the only portion tourists can enter. However, visitors are forbidden inside the gates when the President is at the house.

There’s not much to do here but take pictures.

Good Shepherd Convent is known for its homemade jams, pastries, and other delicacies, including their famous ube jam (purple yam jam), peanut brittle, peanut butter, and various breads. These perfect treats can satisfy your cravings or you can take them home as pasalubong.

Aside from food items, the convent also offers a variety of souvenir items including embroidered goods, religious items, and others.
