Mines View Park is one of the several parks Baguio City enjoys. Located approximately five kilometers away from the heart of the city, the park features an observation deck overlooking the mining town of Itogon, an abandoned copper and gold mine of the Benguet Corporation. The view deck also offers picturesque views of the Amburayan Village as well as the lush Cordillera mountains.

Apart from the lovely views it offers, Mines View Park is where you can have photo ops with a St. Bernard dog, a popular tourist attraction in Baguio. You can also pose with a horse with pink mane and tail as well as don full Igorot costume for more photo taking sessions.

How to Get to Mines View Park?

By Air

Traveling by air is actually not the most popular way to get to Baguio City and its many tourist attractions but it can actually be done. Philippine Airlines flies four times a week direct to Loakan Airport, the airport serving the general area of Baguio City, from Cebu. Travel time is around two hours and the fare varies depending on the date of booking.

By Bus from Manila

Land travel from Manila is the most popular way to get to Baguio. There are several bus companies with bus terminals in various parts of Manila operating the Manila-Baguio route 24/7.

Genesis Transport has terminals in Pasay, Cubao, and Avenida while Victory Liner terminals can be found in Pasay, Cubao, and Sampaloc. Partas’ only terminal is in Cubao while Philippine Rabbit Bus Lines is in Avenida. Travel time from Manila to Baguio takes between four to six hours depending on traffic conditions and the fare ranges from P600 ($12 USD) to P800 ($16 USD) depending on the bus company and type of seat class.
From the terminal, you can take a jeepney with the sign “Mines View Park”. The jeepney terminal to Mines View Park is located at Governor Park Road. Alternatively, you can also get to Mines View Park via a taxi and private car.

Airport Closest to Mines View Park

Loakan Airport is the airport closest to Mines View Park. It is located about 10 kilometers away from Mines View Park and can be reached by car for less than 30 minutes.
